Recipe of the Month: Grandmother’s Vegetable Soup


  • 1 lb. Stew Meat
  • 1 Onion
  • 64 oz. V-8
  • 1 tablespoon Steak Seasoning (McCormick)
  • 1 cup Chopped Carrots
  • 1 cup Cubed Sweet Potato
  • 1 cup Green Beans
  • 1 cup Green Peas
  • 1 cup Frozen Corn
  • Dash Hot Sauce
  • Dash Worchester Sauce
  • Dash Pepper
  • Pinch Sugar
  • 1 tsp Steak Seasoning (McCormick)


  1. Sauté Onion
  2. Add Stew Meat and Steak Seasoning, lightly brown
  3. Add V-8, Vegetables, Hot Sauce, Worchester Sauce, Sugar, Pepper, additional Steak Seasoning
  4. Simmer 2 Hours or until vegetables are done.
