Ingredients:
- 2 whole slabs pork baby back ribs
Dry Seasoning:
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
Braising Liquid:
- 1 cup vegetable stock
- ½ cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons honey
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Remove membrane on bottom of both ribs.
- Mix all dry seasonings together and evenly coat both slabs of ribs.
- Using heavy duty aluminum foil, wrap both slabs individually. Leave one side of the foil open.
- Mix braising liquids together, pour half of the liquid mixture in each foil pouch at the opening. Tightly close the opening so both slab are completely sealed.
- Place wrapped slabs on a large cookie sheet and bake for 2 ½ hours. Check doneness by opening foil and poking ribs with a sharp knife, there should be very little resistance.
- Remove ribs from oven. Carefully transfer braising liquid to saucepan and over medium high heat, reduce mixture until a thick consistency. Brush the ribs with this mixture.
- (Feel free to add any desired BBQ sauce at this step). Turn oven to high broiler and place slabs in. Closely monitor, allowing the braising liquid or bbq sauce to slightly caramelize, should only be about 1-2 minutes.
- Grab plenty of napkins and enjoy with coleslaw and fries!
